Split heat pump systems are required to be installed by professional and licensed HVAC contractors who have the expertise and the special tools necessary to perform such installations. Additionally, there are several applicable Local. State and Federal Laws that regulate the installation of Split System Air Conditioners, which must be strictly adhered to. High-pressure refrigerants and electrical currents existing in these systems can cause serious harm or even death, as well as property damage. We urge our customers to always refrain from any attempt to self-install or service these systems and carefully check the qualifications and licensing status of any contractors they hire. Always call and obtain several price quotes before you decide to hire a contractor, as the fees they charge can differ severely. Most parts and components needed are already included in the package we sell, which makes the installation simple, quick, and affordable.

  • We strongly recommend using our "pioneer" brand flare connection leak sealer on all flare connections to reduce the risk of leakages.
  • Air contains humidity. If the line set is not properly vacuumed, humidity will cause irreversible compressor damage.
  • All wire connections have polarity. Attaching the wrong wires to the wrong terminal positions will damage the electronics.
  • Condensate drain must have a continuous downward slope. Copper tubes can kink easily; they must be bent very gently.
